UNCOVERING THE SYMBOLS OF THE SELF
THROUGH AUTHENTIC MOVEMENT
Authentic Movement facilitates a descent into the inner world of the psyche through natural movement. Through the process we are reconnected with deeper instinctual resources and spiritual intelligence that dwell in the molecular structure of the cells, and recover unlived parts of our nature on intrapersonal, interpersonal and transpersonal levels.
The practice develops a sense of embodied presence, of being ‘at home’ in the body.

This intimate three-day retreat/ intensive will take you deep into your inner world through a series of embodiment practices, ritual, Jungian Active Imagination and journaling just in time to prepare for the second of the potent Taurus-Scorpio eclipses (October 25th and November 8th).
We'll open Friday evening with a discussion of the current pre-eclipse astrology and how their imminence might be reflecting and expressing through our bodies, emotions and nervous systems followed by ritual and getting you ready to delve into an embodied experience of the depths of your inner world.
Imagine combining the feeling you get while surrending into sacred body work, or at the end of a really good yoga class with the feeling of being at your favorite rock concert, (only with the ability to dance full-out to your favorite songs), and this will give you the feeling of Jungian Authentic Movement workshops.
The music/soundtrack is selected by the current planetary forces so that the song choices resonate with what is happening both personally and collectively and at times in the workshops we also move in silence.
During a time when many of the patriarchal power structures that have given meaning to our existence for thousands of years are crumbling, Authentic Movement allows practitioners to discover a new paradigm that offers guidance from an inner source.
We are all longing for an experience with the 'numinous'--a quality of feeling we are in the presence of something greater than ourselves. We hope that something inspires a feeling of being totally alive, in awe or in the presence of something powerfully sacred. When this feeling is lacking, we feel restless, bored, unfulfilled, and crucified by a feeling that nothing is changing.
When life feels devoid of meaning, it’s important to figure out which archetypes are not being fed and resolve to discover new ways to feed them so that they don't turn against us in the form of addictions, compulsions, or eventually disease in the body.
